Father.
Writer.
Advocate.
I started this book series to create what I wish I had, stories that help fathers and their kids feel close, even when life makes it feel impossible.
When my daughter turned 2, we had just started, what I had no idea would be, a lengthy and strenuous custody battle. I was tired, overwhelmed, and often heartbroken by how little time I had with her.
I searched for books I could read that showed a father like me, a dad who only got to see his kid on weekends or certain holidays. I found nothing. So I started changing the characters in every book from “mom” to “dad,” just to make it feel more like our story.
That’s when I knew I needed to create something real. Something other fathers could use with their children, not to feel whole again, but to feel present.
I’m not an experienced author. These books don’t have a fancy publishing team or a famous illustrator (yet). But they’re honest and they come from genuine experience, real heartbreak, blinding confusion, and overwhelming pain.
If I waited for everything to be perfect, I’d never get this out. I know there’s a dad out there who needs to read this with his child tonight, not two years from now.
If this helps even one father feel less alone, then every moment learning how to create this all was worth it.
I know how isolating this road can be. Helplessly navigating through custody hearings and barely seeing my daughter, I didn’t know where to turn. I needed something that spoke to my experience and I couldn’t find it.
So I started creating it.
This book series is just the beginning. I’m going to keep improving the stories, the illustrations, and the message. I’d love to hear from other dads who want to be part of that, whether by sharing your story, helping others, or just reminding a father he’s not alone.
There’s strength in telling the truth. These books are mine, but they’re also yours.
I’m just getting started. These books will grow, improve, and reach more fathers who need them and I’d love for you to be part of that.
