Pick Up Day! is a gentle, heartfelt story written for fathers navigating custody schedules and limited time with their children. Inspired by my own journey as a dad, it’s the book I couldn’t find when my daughter was 2, so after many years, I decided to write it myself.

Through warm illustrations and simple, loving language, this book shows a father picking up his daughter for their special time together. Whether it’s once a week, once a month, or heartbreakingly less, this story helps children feel loved, secure, and seen.

I wrote Pick Up Day! because I needed it. I am a father going through court dates, custody battles, and long periods without seeing my child. I would read stories where the “dad” didn’t even exist and I started changing “mommy” to “daddy” just to make it feel like us. I hope this book gives you and your child the connection you both deserve, even in the hardest of moments.
